Otavalo_City_art You will leave the hotel in the morning, passing the valley of Guayllabamba and Cayambe, to then reach tthe province of Imbabura, famous for its beautiful lakes and lagoons. You will stop at the viewpoint of the lake “San Pablo”, where you will see a variety of handicrafts, such as ponchos, scarves, gloves, all elaborated by hand with sheep wool. You will have time to do shopping or visit the indigenous food and grocery market, before then continuing to the lagoon “Cuicocha”, which is of volcanic origins and offers a great diversity of flora and fauna, being part of the natural reserve “Cotacachi-Cayapas”. You will walk along the natural trails and do a boat trip around the lagoon. On the waz back, you will stop in Cotacachi, known as the leather city, to find all sorts of leather shops offering jackets, coats, purses, bags and shoes, only to mention a few. You will then start you trip back to Quito.
